The Las Vegas Raiders need help across the board, especially on defense. The offensive line is also far from set heading into Year 2 with Josh McDaniels at the helm. Maybe, just maybe, the duo behind Barstool’s “Bussin’ With The Boys” could help?

The Raiders could certainly use Taylor Lewan…

For those who might not be familiar with the show, it’s hosted by Taylor Lewan and Will Compton. The latter is a journeyman linebacker who is a social media sensation among Raider Nation. He’s also played for the Silver and Black on a few occasions. Most recently, Compton played in a couple of games back in 2021. However, the real “get” would be Compton’s co-host, Lewan.

A first-round pick back in 2014, Lewan is a three-time Pro Bowler who was recently cut by the Tennessee Titans. Though he only saw the field in a couple of games this past season, the Raiders would certainly help themselves by kicking the tires on Lewan. That’s especially true if Lewan is willing to play on the right side. In those games played, Lewan recorded a 79.4 pass blocking grade, per Pro Football Focus. I mean, he’s only 31 years old. Jermaine Eluemunor performed admirably last year, and Thayer Munford is coming along nicely as well. A trio featuring the aforementioned three players holding down that side could be adequate in 2023.

As far as Compton goes, he’d just be a complimentary depth piece, if that. However, if the Raiders get the Barstool power duo as a package, they could do worse. Given the recent appearance of Raiders general manager Dave Ziegler on their show, the man had an up-close encounter with them.

Let’s face facts: both men are experienced veterans who would come cheap. Lewan himself said it wouldn’t cost much to get him to join the Raiders. At the same time, this could all just be Lewan and Compton having fun on Twitter. Let’s see what happens with these two as the offseason quickly begins to take off with free agency around the corner.
