Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields Mike Dinovo-USA TODAY Sports

Justin Fields did not take the NFL world by storm in his rookie season, but the Chicago Bears quarterback is apparently still a draw for free agents.

New Chicago Bears wide receiver Byron Pringle had huge praise for Fields after signing as a free agent. Pringle called Fields an “elite” quarterback whose style of play fit well with his own.

Fields may turn out to be elite, but he has not shown it yet. He threw for seven touchdowns and ten interceptions in 2021, but some bumps in the road were inevitable for the rookie.

While Fields is viewed positively by most in the league, there do seem to be certain things that could halt any rise to stardom. Pringle is not buying that, but Fields will definitely want to show some progress in 2022 in order to live up to the billing.
