Caleb Williams meeting with the Chicago Bears and having dinner with the likes of Ryan Poles and Matt Eberflus isn't exactly news now. But more details have come out about what exactly the Bears wanted to gain out of these visits.

According to 'Good Morning Football's, Peter Shrager, Poles and company were evaluating Caleb Williams the person, not the player. Shrager was recently on 'The Herd with Colin Cowherd' and explained what the Bears are doing with Williams currently.

Caleb Williams Can Handle The Chicago Spotlight

Williams met with Ryan Poles, Matt Eberflus, and several other members of the Chicago Bears prior to USC's Pro Day. Peter Shrager spoke with Colin Cowherd about the 22-year-old quarterback and he explained in greater detail how the Bears took Williams to a restaurant in Los Angeles called Bird Streets.

Shrager continued by explaining how the Bears' brass was impressed with how Williams handled the "Hollywood scene" in Los Angeles and that it was only the first dinner they had. A source from the Bears told Shrager that Williams wasn't acting like a "look at me" guy. He moved quieter and was a bit more reserved than expected from a Heisman Trophy winner.

When Caleb Williams visited Chicago for his only scheduled top-30 trip, Poles and Eberflus took him to a steakhouse called 'Sophia Steak' in Lake Forest.

It appears the USC stud is prepared and ready to handle the spotlight that comes with being the quarterback of the Chicago Bears. If he can handle the nightlife in Los Angeles and all the celebrity attractions that come with it, he will fit in perfectly in Chicago.

Bears fans are hard to please and when the team is losing, they can turn on the organization in a heartbeat. But Caleb Williams is a poised young man and could flourish in the city of Chicago. When he starts winning games for the Bears, he'll win the die-hard fans over easily, if he hasn't already.
