Cam Newton appears to be on a mission to make his wardrobe more eccentric by the week, and he has done a good job of executing through the first two weeks of the 2019 season. If you had a good laugh at what he was wearing in Week 1, you’ll like Thursday night’s fashion statement just as much.

Newton had a crazy hairstyle and wore a colorful headscarf before and after the Carolina Panthers’ loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The tone of his postgame press conference was a serious one after his and the team’s poor performance, but reporters must have had a difficult time trying not to crack up.

The hat Newton wore last week would have completed Thursday’s outfit. We’ll probably see some combination of the two at some point later in the season.

It’s hard to say what was more disappointing — Newton’s wardrobe choice or the calls Carolina made on 4th down. Either way, the 0-2 Panthers are off to an ugly start.
