Cardinals All-Pro WR DeAndre Hopkins hoping to expand charity work in Arizona

While DeAndre Hopkins' first season with the Arizona Cardinals was quite impressive, the All-Pro wide receiver didn't get the opportunity he would have liked to make a difference in the community due to the COVID-19 pandemic. 

He's hoping that changes in 2021. 

In an interview with TMZ Sports, Hopkins said he and his mother are about to get more involved with charity work in Arizona this coming season. 

"My mom and I, we're about to get into the community," Hopkins said. "You know, it was COVID, so we really couldn't do much."

Hopkins and his mother, Sabrina Greenlee, have a charity called S.M.O.O.T.H., which was established to help women who have been affected by domestic violence. 

The former Houston Texan also helped create a cereal line, with the proceeds from the sale of the cereal going to the S.M.O.O.T.H. Foundation. 

Hopkins made an immediate impact on the field in Arizona during the 2020 season, catching 115 passes for 1,407 yards and six touchdowns. He helped lead the Cardinals to their best record since the 2017 campaign.
