Arizona Cardinals OT D.J. Humphries is one of the best in the biz, for a multitude of reasons. His humor and ability in front of a microphone will surely land him a role on TV after his playing days are over, though the Florida product believes there's still some days ahead on the field.

Pro Football Focus would agree.

The 2022 Cardinals didn't give fans much to cheer for, though there were a few individual performances that flew under the radar. While we already went through how Kyler Murray's accuracy was graded as one of the best in football last season, his premier pass-protector can now shine in that same light.

PFF graded Humphries as one of the best pass-blockers in the fourth quarter. His 85.9 grade was third behind Jake Matthews and Tristan Wirfs.

Jake Matthews, Atlanta Falcons– 88.9

Tristan Wirfs, Tampa Bay Buccaneers: 87.4

D.J. Humphries, Arizona Cardinals: 85.9

Laremy Tunsil, Houston Texans: 85.1

David Bakhtiari, Green Bay Packers: 83.6

Author Zoltan Buday wrote: "While Jake Matthews (126 snaps) and D.J. Humphries (127) didn't play many fourth-quarter pass-blocking snaps, they were very efficient on these plays. Matthews allowed just two pressures in the fourth quarter last season, while Humphries was credited with giving up four pressures but no sacks."

Humphries' overall pass-blocking grade of 80.5 was the best of his career, allowing just one QB hit on 575 offensive snaps. His five total penalties was also the lowest since 2018.

With new rookie Paris Johnson eventually looking to make the move to tackle, Humphries may not be around for too much longer. Yet we do know when it's time to put up or shut up, there's not too many better than Humphries as a pass-blocker.
