PHOENIX -- The Arizona Cardinals are expected to move on from two players prior to the start of free agency next week, according to Ian Rapoport.

Rodney Hudson and Chosen (formerly Robbie) Anderson aren't expected to be with the team in 2023. Hudson is expected to retire according to a report from ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, while Anderson is simply expected to be released.

Like Rapoport alluded to, earlier in the offseason Hudson had his salary restructured to $2 million for 2023, which indicates he'll be a post June 1 cut against the cap. Hudson played just four games for Arizona last season after deciding against retirement.

Anderson was acquired via trade from the Carolina Panthers for two late draft picks. If cut before June 1, Arizona is expected to have just over $26 million in cap space according to Over The Cap.

The Cardinals weren't able to utilize Anderson's downfield threat in Kliff Kingsbury's offense, though that was countered with injuries across the board that impacted all area's of Arizona's 4-13 start.

Anderson failed to elevate himself up the depth chart in the desert and will now likely move on somewhere else. He caught just seven passes for 76 yards with Arizona.

The Cardinals are expected to trade DeAndre Hopkins this offseason and will be in search of another receiving option behind Marquise Brown and Rondale Moore.
