Arizona Cardinals inside linebacker Owen Pappoe is the fastest player at his position in the upcoming Madden NFL 24 video game. The rookie fifth-round pick has 93 out of 99 speed.

The rating isn't surprising considering Pappoe tied for the second-fastest 40 time for an inside linebacker since 2003 - the other being teammate Isaiah Simmons. Pappoe ran a 4.39 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine.

Speed is something the Cardinals will have no shortage of this season on Madden. Kyler Murray is one of the fastest quarterbacks while receivers Marquise Brown and Andre Baccellia are two of the fastest receivers in the game as well.

Though young, Pappoe says he's ready to help turn things around:

"Expect a guy who loves the game of football and who's gonna give you all 110% of me every single day. I'm looking forward to working with Coach Rallis in his defense and being able to make an impact in any type of way that I can," said Pappoe after being drafted.

"I'm ecstatic right now, man. Words just can't explain how excited I am to be a part of the Cardinals. I'm really looking forward to helping turn this program around."

With Zaven Collins moving to the edge and Simmons permanently in the secondary, Pappoe will certainly have opportunities behind Krys Barnes and Kyzir White as an off-ball linebacker.
