The Arizona Cardinals have announced the following roster moves ahead of their Week 3 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys:

– Elevated defensive lineman Ben Stille (STILL-ee) to the active roster from the practice squad as a standard elevation

– Placed defensive lineman Carlos Watkins on injured reserve

– Signed defensive lineman Roy Lopez to the practice squad

– Released defensive lineman Jacob Slade from the practice squad

Stille will wear jersey #90, according to the release.

More on Lopez, who is a local product: "Tempe, AZ native who attended Mesquite High School in Gilbert prior to playing collegiately at New Mexico State and the University of Arizona. He played 33 games (29 starts) the past two seasons with the Texans after being drafted by Houston in the sixth-round (195th overall) of the 2021 NFL Draft. With the Texans, the 26-year old Lopez had 67 tackles, 2.0 sacks, 10 tackles for loss, five quarterback hits and one fumble recovery. His dad, Roy Lopez Sr., is currently the head football coach at Desert Ridge High School."

The Cardinals currently find themselves as 12.5 point underdogs heading into Week 3 after nearly escaping with wins against the Washington Commanders and New York Giants.

However, Jonathan Gannon isn't in search of moral victories. He's looking for actual wins in the win-loss column, and that might be hard to come by when Dallas strolls into town.

The Cardinals previously placed Budda Baker on injured reserve and ruled out Carlos Watkins/Josh Woods on Friday's injury report. Leki Fotu is considered questionable but he did practice all week and is trending towards playing.
