Cardinals QB Kyler Murray has new offensive weapon in DeAndre Hopkins

Well, this one certainly is a blockbuster.

The Houston Texans have dealt wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins and a fourth-round pick to the Arizona Cardinals in exchange for David Johnson, a second-round pick this year and a fourth-round pick next year, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter and the Houston Chronicle's John McClain.

This is a great acquisition for the Cardinals because second-year quarterback Kyler Murray will highly benefit from the talent of Hopkins.

The wide receiver has spent his entire NFL career with the Texans and has been difficult for defenders to match up against year after year.

The 27-year-old is a four-time Pro Bowler and three-time First Team All-Pro. After a 1,572-yard season with 11 touchdowns in 2018, Hopkins saw a dip in his stats last season with 1,165 yards for seven TDs — still elite numbers and no cause for concern.

Murray now will have Hopkins, Kenyan Drake and Larry Fitzgerald, among others, to sling the ball to throughout the season.

In his first NFL season, Murray went 5-10-1 with 3,722 yards, 20 touchdowns, 12 interceptions and a 64.4 percent completion percentage.

Hopkins is an upgrade at WR for the Cardinals, and Murray will be able to flourish with another reliable receiver in his arsenal.
