As their NFL schedule was ticking down to this offseason, the discussion around the league and its fans rambled on about what Kyler Murray’s future would look like with the Arizona Cardinals.

Over the past few months, there were multiple reports saying that the Cardinals were weighing all options of what to do with their star quarterback.

However, Arizona has continued to put those rumors to bed and today was no different.

Posting a simple, but meaningful, message on X (formerly Twitter) by having a picture of Murray with just three emphatic words.

“Our franchise QB.”

Not only does his team have his back, but general manager Monti Ossenfort, team owner Michael Bidwill and head coach Jonathan Gannon have all voiced their support for Murray on multiple occasions.

Last season, the 26-year-old returned from a severe ACL injury that sidelined him for 11 months.

In the eight games that he did play following his return, Arizona was 3-5 after starting 1-8. Even though he came back from almost a year off and the Cardinals’ roster was depleted due to various injuries down the stretch, Murray’s welcomed addition sprung some new life in their offense.

In eight games, Murray completed 176-of-268 passes (65.7%) for 1,799 yards and connected on 10 touchdowns.

Overall, the 2018 Heisman Trophy winner and two-time Pro Bowler has stacked up 15,647 yards from 1,492-of-2,239 passing (66.6%) and 94 touchdowns. During his five year NFL career, Arizona is 28-36-1 with Murray under center.

With the fourth-overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, all the directions point towards Arizona not selecting a new quarterback.

Will Ossenfort and the rest of the Cardinals’ front office get some new weapons around Murray?

We’ll have to wait and see how this offseason unravels.
