Cardinals' Robbie Anderson vows to 'give my all' after trade from Panthers

New Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Robbie Anderson is seemingly ready for a fresh start after being traded by the Carolina Panthers at the start of the midweek.

"I feel like that was destined for me, and it's no mistake I am here," Anderson said about the transaction following Wednesday's team walkthrough, per Darren Urban of the Cardinals' website.

Anderson added he wants to "be able to master my craft" as soon as possible even though 2-4 Arizona hosts the 2-4 New Orleans Saints on Thursday night. Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury made it clear the 29-year-old will play on a limited basis, if at all, against New Orleans.

"Whatever they put on my plate, I'll give my all," Anderson remarked.

The Panthers shipped Anderson to Arizona roughly 24 hours after he was sent to the locker room early during Carolina's 24-10 loss at the Los Angeles Rams this past Sunday. That decision was related to multiple confrontations Anderson had with wide receivers coach Joe Dailey presumably over playing time.

Anderson later told reporters he "was honestly confused" about the situation and "wanted to be in the game," while Panthers interim coach Steve Wilks said after the trade that he wanted "accountable" and "committed" players in his locker room.

Anderson stated Wednesday that the biggest thing that went wrong in Carolina was that he never helped the team win a Super Bowl.

"That's what I play this game for, to win the Super Bowl," he continued.

Anderson had 13 receptions for 206 yards and a touchdown this season before the trade.
