The Arizona Cardinals have signed 28-year-old wide receiver Zach Pascal to a two-year contract, per Darren Urban.

Pascal played the first four seasons of his career with the Colts before heading over to the Eagles last year. However, Pascal rarely saw any action as he fought for a starting job behind a loaded Philadelphia receiving core.

But, on the plus side, Pascal has proved that he is a reliable role player, as he has only missed one game in his five-year career. Ironically, his game out was against the Cardinals in 2021 as he dealt with COVID-19.

Pascal is also familiar with the Cardinals’ new head coach, Jonathan Gannon, as he spent last season with Gannon on the Eagles.

Along with signing Pascal, Arizona has announced the return of backup quarterback David Blough.

Blough was initially the fourth string QB for the Cardinals last season; however, due to an unfortunate injury bug that plagued Arizona, Blough started in two games.

In those two games, the former Detroit Lion averaged 201 passing yards and threw two touchdowns. Now, he may even have the opportunity to be the Cardinals’ Week One starter, as Kyler Murray will not make his return from injury until around the halfway point of the season.
