Cardinals to host 1,200 fans for Week 7 game vs. Seahawks

The Arizona Cardinals announced on Friday that up to 1,200 fans will be permitted to enter State Farm Stadium for the Oct. 25 home game against the Seattle Seahawks.

Previously, Arizona limited attendance for the Sept. 27 contest versus the Detroit Lions to 750 spectators made up of family members and close friends of players, coaches, and other club personnel. This allowed the organization to test COVID-19 protocols.

For the Week 7 showdown between Arizona and Seattle, the 1,200 tickets will be distributed in pods of two. Spectators will be split into groups of 600 on either side of the field to allow for maximum social distancing. Seats not sold will be zip-tied. Tickets, parking, and concessions will all involve contactless scanning.

As is the case with NFL and college stadiums around the country, masks or other face coverings are mandatory when patrons are not actively eating or drinking. The Cardinals have threatened to eject those who don't comply. Television viewers who have watched games with crowds over the past month-and-a-half have likely spotted fans either improperly wearing face coverings or blatantly ignoring such rules.

Season-ticket holders will be provided opportunities to acquire seats for the Arizona-Seattle matchup based on account seniority. Decisions about future games will be announced by the Cardinals at a later date.
