The Carolina Panthers already made some noise in correcting their offensive line problem earlier today when they agreed to terms with former Dolphins offensive guard, Robert Hunt on a massive 5-year, $100 million dollar deal set to go through Wednesday when NFL free agency begins. They apparently weren't done with the offensive line after that.

According to Jordan Schultz of Bleacher Report, the Panthers are set to bring in another offensive guard as well. On this Wednesday they will reportedly be signing former Seahawks offensive guard Damien Lewis to a 4-year $53 million dollar deal.

A former third round pick out of LSU, Damien Lewis has surrendered just seven sacks in four seasons in true pass sets according to PFF. He should immediately slot in as a starting offensive lineman for the Carolina Panthers who gave up the second most sacks last season behind only the Washington Commanders.

This move immediately gives the Panthers at least a "replacement level" player at each of their five offensive lineman spots heading into NFL Draft season. This doesn't mean the team won't be open to brining in one more interior offensive lineman (where they struggled most), but it does build a solid foundation to help former first round quarterback Bryce Young continue in his development.

The Seahawks have now lost their fourth player to free agency signings elsewhere. They're building a strong early case for future compensatory picks in NFL Drafts to come.
