CB gets another chance with NFC contender after back-to-back torn ACLs

The last two seasons have ended in devastation for Emmanuel Moseley.
Now, the cornerback is getting another chance to make up for missed time and possibly compete for a Super Bowl next season.

Moseley spent his five NFL seasons with the San Francisco 49ers, including a 2018 rookie campaign that lasted just three snaps due to a season-ending shoulder injury. Moseley had one of his best years in 2019, playing all 16 contests (making nine starts) and making a career high 50 combined tackles with eight passes defended and one interception as well.

He added 14 tackles, four passes defended and one interception across the team's three playoff games, helping San Francisco reach Super Bowl LIV.

After being limited to 12 games in 2020 and 11 in 2021, Moseley's 2022 season ended abruptly during the 49ers' Week 5 road victory over the Carolina Panthers at Bank of America Stadium due to a torn left ACL.

He joined the Detroit Lions last offseason and made his debut with the team in Week 5 at Ford Field in the Motor City, ironically, against the Panthers. Ford Field, like Bank of America Stadium, uses artificial turf.

That contest took place one day prior to the one-year anniversary of the 27-year-old's ACL tear in Charlotte, North Carolina. On only his second snap with the Lions, Moseley suffered a season-ending torn right ACL.

The Tennessee product will look to have better luck this fall and try help Detroit build off this past season's stunning run to the NFC Championship Game.
