After signing running back Gus Edwards and tight end Will Dissly , the Los Angeles Chargers announce their third signing of the day. The Bolts will officially keep safety Alohi Gilman, as they have agreed to new terms with the young defensive piece.

Gilman ended the season with 73 tackles, 3 forced fumbles, 2 interceptions, and 10 passes defended. He is a stalwart piece of the secondary, and the Chargers decided to not allow him to test the free-agent market.

The Charger's secondary was cause for concern last season apart from players like Gilman, Derwin James Jr., and Asante Samuel Jr.

Gilman's deal is a reported 2 years for $11 million, which gives the team a bit more time to see the young safety up his game. Head coach Jim Harbaugh plans to make sure that the team is physical, and Gilman fits that bill.

The Chargers's three moves today all fill necessary holes, and it appears GM Joe Hortiz is hard at work to give Harbaugh the right team to ensure the goal of multiple championships comes to fruition.
