Los Angeles Chargers star receiver Mike Williams was helped off of the field with an apparent knee injury against the Minnesota Vikings. Williams fought forward to get the first down but took a big hit from a couple of Vikings defenders. He was officially ruled out of the game, and may possibly have torn his MCL.

Stats Against Vikings

Williams was on pace to have a monster game with seven receptions and 121 receiving yards before going down with the injury. He was carted off of the field into the locker room, devastating for Los Angeles Chargers fans. Mike Williams has been a huge part of this Chargers offense, so this is definitely a huge loss for the team.

Mike Williams Injury History

The star receiver has had issues with injuries in the past, mostly ankle and hamstring injuries causing him to miss many games. Los Angeles quarterback Justin Herbert has made Williams his go-to-target when Williams is playing, and now will most likely look for his other star receiver Keenan Allen, who has also been on fire this season.

What the Chargers Do Now

The Chargers will most likely have to rely on the short passing game now, as Williams is the only deep threat on the team. Keenan Allen can be a threat to go deep occasionally but is nowhere near as good as Williams when it comes to the jump ball.
