Even though your Los Angeles Chargers are in the beginning of a dead period before they officially kick off training camp in a couple of weeks, we just received some very exciting news pertaining to some legendary names from the franchise.

Don Coryell served as the Chargers' offensive innovator and passing game specialist from 1978 to 1986 and during his time there, the Bolts were able to make it to the AFC championship game on two different occasions. He compiled an amazing resume, helped put the team on the map and is set to be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame this summer.

However, news just surfaced that it will be one of his former quarterbacks, Dan Fouts, who will be presenting him at the ceremony.

"When legendary @chargers coach Don Coryell is enshrined as part of the Class of 2023 this summer, his Presenter will be a legendary Chargers QB. Dan Fouts!"

Fouts spent his entire 15-season career with the Chargers and was at the helm of Coryell's offensive system. From 1979-1982, he recorded over 4,000 passing yards each year and also led the NFL in that category. 1982 also saw him named the Offensive Player of the Year.

We love to see historic members of the organization continue to get recognized decades down the line and younger fans will certainly get the opportunity to learn more about the history of the Chargers when this special day takes place.

I also think it will be great for the current group of Bolts players to see this go down and be inspired to play for a team that has been around for a long time and see two figures that helped the changed the Chargers culture for the better.
