The Los Angeles Chargers had the pleasure of having Kyle Van Not on their roster in 2022 and he proved to be one of their most reliable defensive linemen. He totaled 46 combined tackles and did not miss a game all year.

However, he was one of the more uncertain free agents for LA as they had only given him a one-year deal as they were not sold on him being a big part of their future moving forward. Noy did play a big role in the Chargers making a run to their first playoff appearance in years and he proved to garner a ton of sacks in important games.

However, I feel like an agreement would have been made already at this point in the offseason between both parties. Noy is only getting older and he understands that he serves a veteran role along with the production he brings on the field.

LA is locked in on trying to prove everybody wrong after last year's playoff meltdown and with the latest draft pickups and UDFA signings, there may not be room for Noy.

With all of this information, Pro Football Focus believes that the Pittsburgh Steelers are currently the favorites to add the experienced edge-rusher.

“The Steelers are set with their starters at edge and made a shrewd draft selection in Wisconsin’s Nick Herbig, who profiles as a similar player to Van Noy,” Spielberger wrote. “Still, Van Noy could be a nice rotational piece for the Steelers, as he also has the flexibility to play some off-ball linebacker — which isn’t a super deep position group for Pittsburgh.”(Via PFF)

If this is the case, LA will not see him next season as they are not set to face off against the Steelers.
