For the fans, the Los Angeles Chargers' training camp cannot come soon enough. This offseason has certainly felt ultra-fast when big events such as the NFL Draft and the first wave of free agency took place but during times like now, we just want to see our guys on the field.

However, these couple of weeks in between OTA's and training camp are huge for the players. They are granted the opportunity to spend time with their families, take care of any business responsibilities and get their bodies healthy before they really ramp up.

Of course staying in shape is also expected of them because they don't want to show up at camp a step behind everybody else. Most of the Bolts' players entered the offseason with at least one thing they could improve on, even the stars. It keeps them motivated for the next year and allows everybody to thrive as a group.

Tre McKitty is a prime example of this as the young TE will be entering his third year with LA in 2023 and was spotted in attendance at Travis Kelce's Tight End University recently in Nashville. Kelce plays for the rival Kansas City Chiefs but opens this spot up to a number of players.

Tight end rankings have not been too kind to McKitty in his first years as a pro and he hasn't found his rhythm on the gridiron just yet. In 211 routes in 2022, he had a success percentage per target of 1.4% which placed at 185th in his position.

Not exactly what you want to see especially considering that LA is not exactly loaded with TE talent but it's great to see him using his time away from the franchise to continue putting work in and getting ready for the new year!
