The Los Angeles Chargers are heading into the 2023 season with a clear focus on improving their team, particularly on the defensive side of the ball. The Chargers struggled defensively in the past, and it's evident that they need to make significant improvements in order to be competitive. While they have a strong core of high-end players who they heavily rely on, they also need contributions from their supporting cast.

One player who will play a crucial role in the Chargers' defensive improvement is defensive tackle, Morgan Fox. Fox will be entering his seventh season in the league and his second with the Chargers. Despite his relatively short career, he has shown promise and potential.

In a recent appearance on the Guilty as Charged podcast, Fox spoke about his relationship with his two defensive line coaches, Coach Ed and Jay Rodgers, and how they have helped him elevate his game.

Fox acknowledged that his performance in the second half of the 2022 season was particularly strong, and he aims to carry that momentum throughout the entire upcoming season.

Coach Ed and Rodgers have been instrumental in his development, pushing him to reach his full potential and holding him accountable. Fox's statistics from last season reflect his impact on the field, with 25 solo tackles, seven sacks, eight tackles for loss, and eight assists. However, he is determined to increase those numbers and further improve his game.

Ultimately, Fox's growth and improvement will be vital in propelling the Chargers and their coaching staff to new heights. By capitalizing on the guidance and support from his coaches, Fox hopes to become an even more dominant force on the field, contributing significantly to the team's defensive success.

The Chargers will be counting on players like Fox to step up and make a difference as they strive to build a stronger, more competitive team in the upcoming season.
