Football season is back... almost. The Chargers had their offseason program in Costa Mesa on Monday, and a handful of players participated. Chargers QB Justin Herbert appeared but was getting his shoulder worked on. Chargers NT Otito Ogbonnia returned after missing the back half of the season, and Chargers defensive lineman Morgan Fox was in attendance.

It was almost like the first day of school, at least that's how Fox viewed it, as he was happy to be back with the staff and coaches.

It was nice to see some of the guys get back into it and meet some of the new guys, like the Chargers' new linebacker Eric Kendricks. Kendricks signed with the club in mid-March; this was his first time with his new teammates. Most of the guys know him already since he's been in the league for sometime now like Fox, who had nothing but praise for his new linebacker after day one

“Today was the first time that I’ve met him in person, but everyone that I know that knows him speaks very highly of him, nothing but great things about him,” Fox said. “It was awesome to actually meet him today, get to work with him. I’m excited to see what the season is going to look like with him.”

These two guys are poised to make an impact on the defensive end. Kendricks is a force to be reckoned with, while the second year Charger had a career year with a career high in solo tackles with 24.

The two are set to wreck havoc for the Bolts, and that all starts off the field. It's a great sign that the two are getting along off the field. That will go a long way in what the Chargers want to accomplish this upcoming season.
