Your Los Angeles Chargers may be riding high during this bye week, having won two straight games to improve to a .500 (2-2) record on the young 2023 season, but that doesn't mean that the experts don't see areas where the club can improve.

Josh Edwards of CBS Sports writes that LA needs to find a way to reinvigorate their defensive tackles, after a porous effort on that end of the field during the team's eventual 24-17 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders last Sunday.

"Los Angeles' defense is allowing 29.8 points per game, which is the fifth worst rate in the league through four games. The Chargers have added players at defensive tackle in recent off-seasons but it has not produced the results it had hoped. Morgan Fox, Sebastian Joseph-Day and Austin Johnson need to be the best versions of themselves," Edwards opined.

Fox and Joseph-Day's inability to excel together is especially surprising, given their shared history while helping shore up the Los Angeles Rams' defense earlier in their respective careers.

"The secondary is also a concern," Edwards added. "They are allowing 299.80 passing yards per game, which is the worst in the league. They recently sent J.C. Jackson back to New England, which brings an end to a disappointing free agent signing by the organization."
