Chase Claypool would 'love' to see Falcons WR Julio Jones join Steelers

Add Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Chase Claypool to the list of players who would love to see their team acquire Atlanta Falcons star Julio Jones this offseason.

"I would love him in Pittsburgh," Claypool told TMZ Sports.

The Steelers already have Claypool, JuJu Smith-Schuster and Diontae Johnson, but Claypool believes there's always room for a player who has as much talent as Jones has.

"We're stacked," Claypool said. "But you can never get too many superstars."

Jones reportedly asked for a trade earlier this offseason and essentially confirmed his departure from Atlanta during a phone call with FS1's Shannon Sharpe, saying, "I'm out of there."

The Falcons have reportedly received an offer of a first-round pick for Jones, and he could be traded as soon as next week, according to ESPN's Dianna Russini

The 32-year-old is due $15.3 million this season, and the Falcons need to clear cap space to sign their 2021 draft picks.

Pittsburgh is an unlikely destination for Jones because it has only $7.85 million in cap space, but it's not impossible if the Steelers can clear cap room.

Tennessee Titans star AJ Brown has been heavily recruiting Jones via social media, but the club is considered a "long shot" to land him. Baltimore Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey, Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Darius Slay and New England Patriots offensive tackle Trent Brown have also made recruiting pitches to Jones.
