Kansas City Chiefs CB Joshua Williams got in on the other side of the action on Super Bowl LVIII opening night, investigating one of the biggest mysteries leading up to this year's game.

A local Las Vegas news aggregate, Las Vegas Locally (on X), posted the day after the Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers landed that an unnamed NFL player had been attacked by a coyote at Lake Las Vegas. At this point, this seems to carry the rumor tag, more than it should be taken as fact.

Whether it's real, a joke, or a hoax, the question remains: Which NFL player was attacked by a coyote?

Detective Joshua Williams is on the case!

The Chiefs' social media team decided to have some fun with it and sent second-year CB Joshua Williams to interview his teammates about the alleged coyote attack.

"A little birdie tipped me off and said they've got some coyotes loose out here," Williams told Chiefs OL Nick Allegretti. "There's word that a Chiefs player was attacked. . .  who do you think it was?"

"Did they survive the attack?" Allegretti asked.

"Of course, he's a Chief," Williams said in jest.

"Did the coyote survive the attack?" Allegretti asked.

"That's a better question," Williams roared.

"I think Darian Kinnard would ruin the coyote," Allegretti explained. "Big fella right there. The coyote would be no more."

Allegretti wasn't the only player asked about the situation. LB Willie Gay Jr., S Deon Bush, and WR Justyn Ross all shared their thoughts in the video clip below.

Will we ever actually find out the truth behind this coyote attack? Probably not. But Williams is going to keep asking the hard questions of his teammates throughout the week to find out the truth.

Williams later posted on X: "Imma get to the bottom of this!"

We'll see what he manages to turn up.
