The Kansas City Chiefs' need to better protect Patrick Mahomes has been well documented for the past few seasons.

In the last four seasons, including the playoffs, Mahomes has been sacked at least 26 times in the regular season (he hit 26 only once in his first four NFL seasons) and was sacked the most in the playoffs (11).

So something has to be done about his offensive line, and it is here where most mock drafts have the Chiefs taking an offensive lineman to shore up the left tackle spot, despite the franchise signing Jaylon Moore in free agency.

For CBS Sports' Emory Hunt, Missouri's Armand Membou is taken at No. 31.

"I decided to shy away from defensive line for the Chiefs in favor of an athletic lineman with upside in Membou," Hunt writes. "There's some fine-tuning necessary to his game, but he's put more than enough on film to go in Round 1."

Per Next Gen Stats, Membou was the highest-rated lineman for athleticism, with a score of 94, which is why most think he will be one of the first linemen taken in the draft.

It is unlikely that he will make it to No. 31 when the Chiefs pick, but he looms as one of the best prospects, and should Kansas City get their hands on him, the left tackle position will be solved for the foreseeable future.

In his scouting report, NFL.com's Lance Zierlein stated that Membou has "outstanding potential" and a football maturity that he calls "unusual."

The Chiefs need offensive line help, and in Membou, they get one of the most physically gifted linemen in the class, and he will provide instant competition for Jaylon Moore, and in an ideal world, would usurp the four-year tackle.
