Chiefs coach Andy Reid waiting on any decisions regarding CB Bashaud Breeland

Kansas City Chiefs cornerback Bashaud Breeland was arrested Tuesday in South Carolina on multiple charges, but head coach Andy Reid isn't prepared to make any decisions regarding Breeland's status with the team until the results of the police investigation are completed.

"Let's see exactly what went on,"' Reid said, according to ESPN's Adam Teicher. "I know there is video out there. I've seen the video. I've talked to the kid. Let's find out what the pace of this was and what caused everything to take place. I'm curious to see that part, as we all are, and then we'll evaluate it from there.''

Breeland faces charges of resisting arrest, having alcohol in a vehicle with a broken seal, having an open container of beer and wine in the vehicle, marijuana possession and driving without a license, according to police. The 28-year-old Breeland was released from the York County jail on $2,362.50 bond on Tuesday night.

According to the arrest report, Breeland and two other men were seen smoking marijuana at a gas station and as officers approached they tried to leave the scene. As Breeland resisted arrest, an officer pointed his gun at Breeland claiming he couldn't see his hands.

While Breeland's lawyers look forward to reviewing all the evidence, the cornerback probably is hoping he hasn't seen his last days as a Chief.

Breeland was a member of the Chiefs' Super Bowl-winning team last season, and had two interceptions, two fumble recoveries and 37 solo tackles during the regular season while adding one interception and 15 solo tackles in the playoffs.
