Chiefs graded as one of worst franchises in NFLPA's 2024 report card

Something is rotten in the state of Missouri.

Despite being the crown jewel of the NFL, the Chiefs graded 31st in the NFL Players Association's 2024 report cards, a two-spot drop from their 2023 ranking.

The organization dropped in five of eight categories, including finishing last in the grading of the league's 32 training staffs for the second year in a row.

Per the report card, "Only 43 percent of players feel like they receive enough one-on-one treatment (32nd overall)," and they also believe "that the training staff only slightly contribute to their success."

"Some players ... reference an overall lack of care by the team," continues the evaluation.

This year's report card separated the food service and nutritionist categories, as well as expanded to include grades for ownership and head coaches.

Clark Hunt received an F-, the league's worst ownership grade, while Andy Reid was the only bright spot on Kansas City's report card.

He received the highest individual rating (9.77 out of 10) from his players among NFL head coaches, with praise given to his organized practices and willingness to listen to players, even when they're yelling inches from his face.

The prevailing sentiment shared with the report card is that for a team at the pinnacle of the league, ownership should be much more willing to give the players what they deserve.

Earlier this month, the Chiefs became the first team in two decades to win back-to-back Super Bowls.

For the second year in a row, the NFLPA's report card indicated a harsh truth about the Chiefs.

While Hunt happily celebrates the team's championships, receiving congratulations from NFL commissioner Roger Goodell and hoisting Lombardi Trophies, the organization is at the top of the sport despite his worst effort.
