Chiefs LB Drue Tranquill has taken to Twitter to recruit a pair of wide receivers to Kansas City during the 2024 NFL free agency period, and he's taking a page out of Andy Reid's playbook to do it.

Reid infamously recruited Tranquill to the Chiefs with a text message that stuck with No. 23. That text message read: "See red & think Super Bowls."

Well, now he's using that same line to recruit former Los Angeles Chargers teammate Mike Williams and former Arizona Cardinals WR Marquise "Hollywood" Brown.

Even the defense knows that the Chiefs need to make additions at the wide receiver position. Williams and Brown are players that different sects of Chiefs Kingdom have been clamoring for, so he also knows how to play to his audience.

Tranquill spoke to media members on Wednesday following the official announcement of his three-year deal. He was asked about his recruiting pitch to new players, and what he said shows just how bought in he is.

". . . There isn't much of a recruiting pitch that needs to be made with Kansas City. Incredible leadership as I talked about earlier from top to bottom. You've got a culture that is a winning culture. It's not about egos or self or guys wanting to get paid, we all want our guys to get paid, but everything in the Chiefs' organization is about winning and it's about hoisting a Lombardi at the end of the season. It starts with Coach (Andy) Reid and his day-to-day leadership. You just go to his word for our team last year, it was united. Everybody working toward one goal. So, I don't think there's much of a sales pitch that needs to be made. I can't think there's a better place to play football in the NFL than in Kansas City."

Hopefully, Tranquill's efforts to recruit don't go unseen. If anyone knows the true impact of joining Kansas City in free agency, it's him.
