It's safe to say the Kansas City Chiefs' players are excited about the team's first-round draft pick.

When the Chiefs traded up with the Buffalo Bills to select WR Xavier Worthy with pick No. 28 in the first round, several players took to social media to react. It all started with Patrick Mahomes, who was eloquent in his choice of emoji.

Another new member of the wide receiver room also approved of the pick.

Creed Humphrey might have had the funniest reaction of all.

However, it was the reactions on the defensive side of the ball that were the most fascinating for Kansas City. A pair of defensive players, Drue Tranquill and Charles Omenihu, adapted an iconic Chiefs meme from before their time to fit Worthy.

"Xavier Worthy down there somewhere," Tranquill wrote.

This is a reference to the "F*** it, Tyreek Hill is down there somewhere" meme that cropped up during the 2018 NFL season. Omenihu even took it a few steps further than Tranquill.

Mahomes was even asked about the Hill meme once upon a time.

"Sometimes it be like that is what I have to say," Mahomes said. "Sometimes, you've just got to throw it up. He's a little dude, but he goes and catches it. And he's pretty fast, so usually good things happen."

Worthy isn't Tyreek Hill, but he certainly fills a role on the offense has lacked since the team traded Hill to the Dolphins.
