Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is putting retirement rumors to rest, at least for now. Despite speculation surrounding his future in the NFL, fueled by his back-to-back Super Bowl victories with the Chiefs and his high-profile relationship with music icon Taylor Swift, Kelce has made it clear that retirement isn’t imminent.

While his brother Jason has transitioned into podcasting full-time, Travis, at 34 years old, is still focused on his football career.

However, Kelce has hinted at a post-NFL future on several occasions, both on his podcast, New Heights, with his brother, and in interviews. As he approaches the age when many players contemplate retirement, the question arises: what will Kelce do once he hangs up his helmet for good?

Recent reports suggest that Kelce may venture into the world of game show hosting.

Variety has revealed discussions about Kelce potentially becoming the host of the revived game show “Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader” on Amazon Prime Video. Kelce’s charismatic personality and easygoing nature could make him a perfect fit for the role, especially considering the show’s dynamic involving children and celebrity contestants.

Kelce wouldn’t be the first NFL star to transition into the media world. Michael Strahan and Peyton Manning, both Pro Football Hall of Famers, have successfully made similar moves. Strahan hosted “The $100,000 Pyramid,” while Manning helmed a reboot of “College Bowl.”

Although the deal with Amazon Prime Video is not yet finalized, Kelce’s rising star, fueled by his relationship with Swift and his success with the Chiefs, makes him a compelling candidate. Fans of the New Heights podcast can attest to Kelce’s hosting abilities, further solidifying his potential as a game show host.
