There is some stunning news coming out of the Kansas City Chiefs training camp pertaining to one of their acquisitions from earlier in the year. According to NFL insider Field Yates, wide receiver John Ross was placed on the team’s reserve/retired list on Wednesday.

This offseason, the Chiefs acquired Ross at the beginning of 2023 after he signed a future rights deal with the franchise. This was after the 27-year-old veteran sat out the entire 2022 season while on the New York Giants roster.

Ross was originally the first-round pick of the Cincinnati Bengals in the 2017 NFL Draft. The Bengals selected him with the No. 9 overall pick after he put together an all-American season in 2016 with the Washington Huskies.

Currently, there has been no further decision made on Ross’s future with the Chiefs. This story will be updated as more information is revealed.
