Kansas City Chiefs WR Rashee Rice can't seem to stay out of trouble this offseason.

According to a new report from WFAA, the Chiefs' wideout is currently being investigated for an alleged assault that took place in a Dallas nightclub on Monday. Dallas Police sources indicated to WFAA that they're interviewing witnesses and taking statements about an incident allegedly involving Rice and a photographer at a nightclub called "Lit Kitchen."

Rice has already had a tumultuous offseason after being involved in a multi-vehicle crash in the Dallas area in March. He currently faces eight felony charges stemming from the crash, including six counts of collision involving bodily injury, one count of collision involving serious bodily injury, and one count of aggravated assault. Rice has been cooperating with Police during the ongoing investigation.

The 23-year-old is expected to face a lengthy suspension from the NFL, with recent reports indicating he could be suspended for half a season or more. The timing of that suspension is still up for debate. Another incident in such a short time could force the NFL to act quickly with Rice.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said the following about Rice's situation on ESPN ahead of the 2024 NFL draft:

“First, we allow the legal process to move through. We obviously are following it closely and as soon as they are done with the process we will be engaged and be prepared to look at all of that under our personal conduct policy.”

Rice recorded 79 receptions for 938 yards and seven touchdowns as a rookie with the Chiefs in 2023.

We'll continue to update this story as it develops. . .
