Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill, RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire 'heading in right direction' with injuries?

The second-seeded Kansas City Chiefs host the seventh-seeded Pittsburgh Steelers at 8:15 p.m. ET Sunday in an AFC wild-card playoff game, as Patrick Mahomes and company look to begin their third straight run to the Super Bowl. The Chiefs approached the middle of the week on Tuesday with some key players on offense battling injuries, ones that will be important to monitor in the coming days.

NFL Network's James Palmer had an update on three players on Tuesday afternoon.

Hill led Kansas City in targets (159), receptions (111) and receiving yards (1,239) during the regular season, while tying tight end Travis Kelce in touchdown receptions with nine. The six-time Pro Bowler's target and reception totals were new career-highs.

Edwards-Helaire was limited to 10 games this season due to injury, leading Williams to post career-best numbers in rushing attempts (144), rushing yards (558), rushing touchdowns (six), targets (57), receptions (47), receiving yards (452) and receiving touchdowns (two). Williams led the team in every notable rushing category and placed inside the top-five in the aforementioned receiving categories.

The 22-year-old Edwards-Helaire finished the year with 119 carries for 517 rushing yards and four touchdowns on the ground, while adding 19 receptions for 129 yards and two receiving touchdowns as well.
