The Cincinnati Bengals have plenty of areas in their team to address, and it will be impossible for them to find all of their solutions in the 2024 NFL Draft. However, they will surely try their hardest when it comes to finding the right pieces to help Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase make it over the hump and win their first Super Bowl title.
In order to make that happen, both Duke Tobin and Zac Taylor must be able to find the right prospects in the 2024 class that will help their team dominate the AFC North and convincingly beat the Kansas City Chiefs.
This is easier said than done, though, and they answered some of the biggest questions the media has for them during the Draft Combine.

BJ Bethel of FOX19 collated some of the most pressing questions the press have for the Cincinnati Bengals, and the insight both Tobin and Taylor provided gives people a better picture on what the team plans to do in the offseason.
Zac Taylor fielded questions regarding the wide receiver position, and his answer to the question relating to Andrei Iosivas is likely pointing to the possibility that the Cincinnati Bengals won’t draft a wideout early:
“We have a lot of different molds carved out for each position. With Andrei, he showed some really positive things. Down the stretch he had a lot of opportunities to grow. We aren’t handing out starting jobs right now.”
He also shared his thoughts on his team’s approach to the NFL Draft and Combine:
“It’s important to get face-to-face and talk. To hear them tell their stories it can make things clearer and learn what makes them tick. Our scouts have done a great job researching. I’m excited to see them perform, go to pro days and see who will be on the Bengals.
Meanwhile, Duke Tobin answered how the team will improve the right tackle position. Based on his answer, it’s likely that they’ll use their pick to snag a talented o-lineman in the draft:
“It’s always a work in progress. You’re always looking for a group that competes well together. You don’t know how they’ll gel before you put them together but after you put them together. You want highly motivated guys, like to prepare, like hang out with each other. They’re tough, they’re smart, they are consistent. It’s five guys playing as one. You are always looking at a new piece to bring in but you don’t know how that is going to go until you bring them in and if that gels and if that works.”
These are only some of the things that the duo addressed during their press conference. While this doesn’t give fans an overall idea of the team’s strategy, it gives everyone a gist of what they’ll be looking for when Draft Day finally comes.
