Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow is recovering from wrist surgery, but head coach Zac Taylor provided some good news on that front this week.

“Everything’s been positive,” Taylor said, via Russ Heltman of All Bengals.

Taylor also praised the Bengals’ rehab staff, saying “everybody’s been on track” and that everyone is on a nice pace heading into training camp.

As for whether or not Taylor is worried about Burrow’s health going into 2024? He doesn’t seem perturbed.

“I obviously understand the concern everybody has, but the guy has been through some rehab processes, and so he knows how to attack it,” Taylor said.

The 2023 campaign was a nightmare for Burrow.

Burrow began the season dealing with a calf issue he sustained in training camp, and it clearly had an adverse effect on him over the first several weeks.

Then, just as Burrow seemed to be finding his groove, he suffered a wrist injury in Week 11 that knocked him out for the remainder of the year.

During the time he was on the field this past season, Burrow threw for 2,309 yards, 15 touchdowns and six interceptions while completing 66.9 percent of his passes and posting a passer rating of 91.

Cincinnati still managed to go 9-8 in spite of Burrow missing almost half the season, but the team ended up missing the playoffs.

Burrow made the Pro Bowl in 2022 and finished fourth in MVP voting that year after totaling 4,475 yards, 35 touchdowns and 12 picks.

So long as Joe Burrow is healthy as next season approaches, the Bengals should be ready to resume their status as one of the Kansas City Chiefs’ biggest challengers in the AFC.
