Following Jerry Jeudy‘s trade from the Denver Broncos to the Cleveland Browns, the former first-round wide receiver is inking a massive extension. He’s signing a new deal with Cleveland for three years, $58 million, according to NFL insider Ian Rapoport. The new contract includes $41 million in guaranteed money at signing. The Browns acquired their newest wideout from the Broncos in exchange for a 2024 fifth and sixth-round pick.

The Broncos selected Jeudy No. 15 overall in the 2020 NFL Draft. In 57 games over four seasons, he’s hauled in 211 receptions for 3,053 yards and 11 touchdowns. He has yet to break the 1,000-yard threshold in a single season, however, amassing a career-high 972 yards in 2022. Jeudy is coming off a season with 54 catches for 758 yards and two scores as the Broncos went 8-9.

Jeudy is excited for the opportunity to join Browns star Amari Cooper and hopefully create an exciting 1-2 punch in Cleveland.

“I’ll be having my moments like, I’m about to play with Coop,” Jeudy said this week. “I’ve been watching him for so long – I don’t think you understand how much time, how many highlights I’ve been putting in, how many hours I put in watching him. So, being able to just be in the same locker room and learn from him, it’s going to be exciting.”

More on the 2024 NFL offseason, free agency

The NFL 2024 calendar year begins at 4 p.m. ET on March 13. At that time, contracts running through 2023 officially run out, making those players free agents. Prior to the beginning of free agency, teams will have a chance to designate one franchise or transition tag player, starting on Feb. 20 at 4 p.m. ET and ending on March 5. Beginning March 11 through March 13 teams can enter into a legal negotiation with players who will become unrestricted free agents.

In addition to NFL free agency, the new year also marks the beginning of all trades being made official by the league office. April 19 marks the deadline to sign restricted free agents to offer sheets. On April 24, the deadline for teams to match restricted free agent offers sheets hits. Following the restricted free agent deadline follows the 2024 NFL Draft, which runs from April 25-27.
