After having a bit of downtime, the Cleveland Browns have made another move in free agency.

Cleveland is signing special teams ace Justin Hardee, who is listed as a cornerback. Hardee is a special teams standout and has a Pro Bowl nod to his name to prove as much. The Cleveland native lands back with his hometown team.

Hardee went to Glenville High School in Cleveland before going on to play at Illinois. As an undrafted free agent, Hardee is entering year No. 8 in the NFL. Hardee was with the New Orleans Saints for the first four seasons of his career, then spent the last three with the New York Jets. The Pro Bowl nomination came in 2022 when Hardee was a special teams standout all season.

Last season, Hardee was notably caught on camera telling then-Browns QB Joe Flacco to win his hometown a championship after the Browns defeated the Jets.

Special teams coach Bubba Ventrone is likely a happy guy today since his unit has a new standout who can make an impact on kicking and punting coverage.

Hardee marks another addition for the Browns in free agency and could be close to the last one before all attention turns to the NFL Draft.
