Colts RB Jonathan Taylor ruled out vs. Titans after girlfriend contracts COVID-19

The Indianapolis Colts will have to take on the Tennessee Titans without their top running back this weekend.

According to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, Jonathan Taylor has been ruled out for Sunday's matchup due to COVID-19 protocols. Although Taylor has not tested positive for the coronavirus, his girlfriend did on Friday after an out-of-town trip.

Taylor hasn't missed a game this season after being selected by Indianapolis in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft. The 21-year-old has been the Colts' best running back, carrying the ball 135 times for 518 yards and four touchdowns with 26 receptions for 227 yards.

With Taylor out, Nyheim Hines likely will take a majority of snaps at running back. Jordan Wilkins also could see more snaps than usual. Hines has 179 yards and two touchdowns on the ground with 296 yards and four touchdowns receiving.
