The Indianapolis Colts are bringing a defensive back with a unique college journey in for a visit.

Arizona State's Chris Edmonds is scheduled for a top-30 visit with the Colts.

Edmonds began his college career at Samford in 2019. He played there for his first three seasons and totaled eight interceptions. He transferred to Arizona State in 2022 and played there for his final two collegiate seasons as a Sun Devil.

In 2022, he showed off his ball-hawk skills on the power five-stage with three interceptions. But in 2023, for the first time in his college career, he didn't record an interception, as he spent the majority of the season as a safety in the box. This was definitely an adjustment, but in a way, it allowed him to show NFL teams a new skill set that many had no idea he had.

Edmonds is an intriguing prospect who some teams will view as a corner, and others will look at as a safety. The Colts have a need for both, so this visit seems like one that could be one to monitor. Currently, Edmonds is a player looked at on the fringe of being drafted or being labeled as a prioritized undrafted free agent.
