Colts WR Parris Campbell said to have 'healthy' free agent interest

While the 2023 free agent wide receiver class may leave something to be desired, one player primed to cash in on the lack of top-tier depth is pending Indianapolis Colts free agent Parris Campbell.

According to a report from Jordan Schultz of 'The Score,' Campbell should have his pick of landing spots, with multiple teams said to be lining up for his services.

With Robert Woods singing with Houston and already off the board, Campbell headlines a group of receivers that includes mostly veteran and low-to-mid-tier names such as  Adam Thielen, Marvin Jones, Allen Lazard, Jakobi Myers, Juju Smith-Schuster and Mecole Hardman, to name a few.

Campbell had a quiet first three seasons in Indianapolis -- totaling just 34 catches for 360 yards and two touchdowns -- before coming on strong during the past campaign. For the 2022-23 season, the Ohio State alum totaled a quietly-respectable 63 receptions on 91 targets for 623 yards and three touchdowns. He was the Colts' leading receiver three times on the year. That production came with Indianapolis trotting out the likes of Matt Ryan and Sam Ehlinger at quarterback.

Campbell earned a little over $4.805 million during his four-year stint with the Colts and is likely looking at a significant pay raise upcoming, with Pro Football Focus projecting the wideout to sign in the ballpark of a three-year, $23.25 million contract once free agency begins.

Teams to watch in this equation might include the Atlanta Falcons, Baltimore Ravens, Carolina Panthers, Dallas Cowboys, New England Patriots, New York Giants and Tennessee Titans.
