The Washington Commanders took a 20-14 lead into halftime over the undefeated Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football.

The game’s momentum shifted in Washington’s favor after Commanders safety Darrick Forrest came away with an interception in the second quarter off Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts.

With the Eagles leading 14-10, Hurts launched a deep pass for wide receiver A.J. Brown. Brown had a step on Commanders cornerback Benjamin St-Juste, but Forrest did a great job coming over to contest the catch.

On further review, Hurts threw a dime. But the ball went through the hands of Brown, before landing in Forrest’s grasp.

Instead of a big gain that would have set Lincoln Financial Field on fire, the Commanders gained possession. Washington’s offense marched 86 yards on 16 plays for a touchdown that gave the Commanders a 17-14 lead.

The interception is just Hurts’ third this season. And it’s a pass that Brown would like to have back.
