STRENGTHS
- Outstanding size and frame with a desirable combination of confined space athleticism, strength and power
- Excellent balance and knee bend in pass protection with efficient mirror and strong hands to control rushers
- Had an excellent feel for how to extend his arms in pass protection and compensate for their shorter length
- Showed an effective swipe-and-snatch move in pass protection to remove rushers' hands and break contact
- Always looked for work in pass protection when uncovered and was aggressive and physical in hunting pass rushers
- In pass protection, showed lower-body strength to sit down and anchor vs. bull rush and speed-to-power
- Played with excellent awareness and accelerated vision while recognizing and reacting to stunts and pressures
- Strong hands as a run blocker; uses arm extension to control and move defensive tackles and has a powerful core and lower half to sustain
- Desirable combination of strength and power as a run blocker to execute base and drive blocks as well as down blocks
- Effective as a puller in a gap-scheme run game and generated some power and force as kick-out blocker on defensive ends and linebackers
- Showed excellent mobility and balance when pulling outside the formation, using compact movement to generate power
- Battled and competed in pass protection, fought on every snap and rarely lost the physical strength battle
WEAKNESSES
- Stout, squat build with short arms, which at times limited his margin for error vs. quick inside pass rushers
- There were pass-protection snaps where the pass rusher was first with his hands inside Beebe’s chest, initially driving him back
- At times as base and down blocker in the run game, he bent too much at his waist losing balance and body control
- There were run-game snaps when he was the puller that he looked a little slow with his lateral movement.
- Overall, there were reps when his lack of reactive athleticism showed up. He appeared to be more of an engagement lineman than a movement lineman.
NFL TRANSITION
Beebe is a short, stocky guard prospect who could be somewhat scheme-specific as you project and transition him to the next level. Beebe’s game is built on strength and power more than athleticism and movement. That better projects in gap-scheme concepts in the run game more than zone concepts where balance and body control in space are desired traits.
Beebe, while not necessarily a high-level athlete, showed the needed lateral movement to mirror and re-direct in pass protection along with strong grip strength to control inside pass rushers. Beebe consistently stood out in processing stunts and pressures by always being in good position to deal with loopers and inside blitzers.
Overall, Beebe is a strong interior offensive line prospect with some athletic and physical limitations, but he is country strong, technically and assignment sound and plays with great awareness. Historically, those kinds of interior offensive linemen play and start in the NFL.
OTHER NOTES
Beebe came out of Kansas City having played on both lines in high school. Kansas State made him into a full-time guard. He redshirted his first season and then became a starter in 2020 at right tackle, where he stayed through the 2021 season. He switched to left guard in 2022 but also played snaps at left tackle in 2022 and 2023 and snaps at right tackle in 2023. Beebe played 51 games with 48 starts in his four-year Kansas State career. Beebe was a Second-Team All-American in 2022 and a First-Team All-American in 2023.
