Cooper Kupp had another Los Angeles sports legend in mind during the Rams’ championship parade on Wednesday.

Kupp showed up at the parade wearing a Kobe Bryant Lakers jersey. The jersey had both of the late NBA legend’s jersey numbers on it — 8 and 24.

Then at the championship rally, Kupp spoke. The Super Bowl MVP, who had two touchdown catches in Sunday’s win, paid tribute to Kobe by bringing up the former Laker’s work ethic.

“I’m standing here in this city that knows nothing but championships. We’re out here celebrating this championship. Kobe’s a part of this. He belongs here. He set the standard. All I know, get back to work. Let’s run it back,” Kupp said.

Kupp is known for being a hard worker, just like Kobe. Kupp was a third-round pick in 2017 and turned into an All-Pro player this year for the Rams, leading the NFL in receptions, receiving yards and receiving touchdowns. It’s hard to beat that. And now Los Angeles fans love him even more.
