Cooper Rush leads Cowboys to a 23-16 win over Giants

The Dallas Cowboys went into Monday Night Football's clash with the New York Giants confident in backup quarterback Cooper Rush.

No, he's not Dak Prescott, but Rush led the Cowboys to a win last season in a spot-start for Prescott and he orchestrated a 20-17 win over the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 2 of this season.

So far, life as a starter has been "so good" for Rush, as he led the Cowboys to yet another win. He's now 2-0 this season and 3-0 lifetime as an NFL starter.

Rush completed 21-of-31 passes against the Giants for 215 yards and a touchdown. He oversaw a unit that put up 391 total yards of offense including 176 on the ground between Tony Pollard (13 carries for 105 yards) and Ezekiel Elliott (15 carries for 73 yards and a touchdown).

He was on the giving end of this incredible touchdown by CeeDee Lamb.

Rush was also the beneficiary of a defense that held the Giants to 3-of-11 on third downs and ended up getting the game-sealing interception with 1:17 ticks to go on the clock and New York trying to drive to tie or even win the game.

In all, Dallas owned the time-of-possession battle, 32:42 to 27:18.

Though Dak Prescott may be eying a return as soon as next week, the Cowboys are clearly in good hands with Rush.
