Cowboys All-Pro Micah Parsons blasts ESPN analyst for joking about teammate's injury

ESPN's Bart Scott is under fire again for insensitive remarks regarding a serious NFL injury.

During Friday's episode of "First Take," the former linebacker made a lighthearted comment about Dallas Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs' season-ending torn ACL and implied that colleague Stephen A. Smith frequently takes jabs at the Dallas Cowboys' misfortunes.

Scott's words were immediately met with disapproval from his fellow analysts, while Diggs' teammate (Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons) blasted the former Baltimore Ravens Pro Bowler on social media.

This isn't the first time in 2023 that Scott has said something controversial in the wake of a scary incident.

In early January, the 43-year-old suggested that Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins lowering his helmet may have led to Buffalo Bills defensive back Damar Hamlin's cardiac arrest.

Parsons and Diggs form arguably the best defensive tandem in the NFL. The former leads the team in quarterback hits (six) and tackles for loss (four) while tying for first in sacks (3.0). The latter is tied for the team lead in passes defended (three) and is one of five Dallas players to record an interception this year.

Diggs has made back-to-back Pro Bowls and was a first-team All-Pro in 2021 when he led the NFL in interceptions (11) -- two of which were returned for touchdowns -- and interception return yards (142). Parsons has been named first-team All-Pro twice and made two straight Pro Bowls to start his career while capturing the 2021 AP Defensive Rookie of the Year award as well.
