The Dallas Cowboys will take on the Philadelphia Eagles in a pivotal NFC East matchup this weekend, and defensive lineman DeMarcus Lawrence is ready for it.

When asked about the Eagles’ famous (or infamous, depending on how you look at it) “tush push” play this week, Lawrence didn’t hold back.

“I ain’t in the complaining business. I ain’t got time to complain,” Lawrence said, via Yahoo’s Jori Epstein. “Whatever you put out there in front of me, I’m gonna try my damndest to defeat it.”

The Cowboys previously faced the Eagles in Philadelphia last month, falling by a score of 28-23. Now, they are trying to avoid the season sweep as well as attempting to draw even with Philly in the divisional standings. Dallas is 9-3 while the Birds are currently 10-2.

Lawrence logged two tackles in the first meeting between the two clubs. On the season overall, he has totaled 31 tackles, four sacks and three passes defended.

The 31-year-old, who played his collegiate football at Boise State, was selected by the Cowboys in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft.

Injuries limited Lawrence to just seven games during his rookie campaign, but the following year, Lawrence flashed his potential, registering 55 tackles and eight sacks.

The Aiken, S.C. native was once again hindered by injuries during his third season, but in 2017, Lawrence broke out, racking up 58 tackles, 14.5 sacks, four forced fumbles and a couple of fumble recoveries en route to a Pro Bowl appearance. He proceeded to make his second trip to the Pro Bowl the next season after recording 64 tackles and 10.5 sacks.

Lawrence has failed to post double-digit sacks ever since, but he has remained a rather steady force along Dallas’ defensive front. He made his third Pro Bowl last season after finishing with 65 tackles and six sacks.
