The Dallas Cowboys had to feel good about Friday's injury report as nobody carried a game designation ahead of Week 11 when the team is set to face the Carolina Panthers on the road.

However, on Saturday's walk-through, which happens before the team boards the plane, running back Rico Dowdle suffered an ankle injury which officially downgraded him to questionable before the game.

Dowdle's unexpected injury might not move the needle as far as the heavy expectations to get the win on the road. However, the timing is still unfortunate considering the backup's big game from last week.

In Week 10, Dowdle logged 79 yards in 12 rush attempts. His performance sparked a running game that desperately needed it in Dallas. Many assumed going on the road against Carolina would be a good opportunity to gain momentum for that aspect of the offense.

Now, the Cowboys could face an interesting decision if it comes down to Dowdle missing the game: Do they elevate Maik Davis as they did back in Week 6 while leaving Deuce Vaughn inactive? Or do they roll with the sixth-round rookie?

Hunter Luepke, who has carved up a key role on special teams playing the second-most snaps on John Fassel's unit this season, could also be a candidate to get reps as a running back instead of his usual fullback role.

Tomorrow's inactive list, which will come 90 minutes before kickoff, will have fans interested in seeing a good rushing performance on the edge of their seats.
