Take one look at the the NFC East division and you will see that it is one thing.

Chaos.

The Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles have basically run the division for the better part of this decade. However, if you look further back, you will see chaos reigns supreme.

There have been dominant franchises that have run the division in the past. The early 2000 Philadelphia Eagles, the mid 90s Cowboys.

But lately, it has been a mess. In fact there hasn't been a repeat division winner since 2004. A streak the Cowboys kept alive late in the season this past year.

It's not hard to look at the Cowboys' offseason this year and ask "what are they doing?"

In fact, if you just look at our free agency tracker, you will either laugh or be justifiably angry.

To put it bluntly, the Cowboys haven't done a damn thing to get better.

It's something that long-time fans have come to accept year after year. The Cowboys will bargain bin shop in free agency, and insist on building through the draft.

A strategy they insist on sticking with even though it has been proven, that you need to be active in free-agency and hit on your draft picks to have post-season success.

The Cowboys go into the 2024 NFL season losing six starters from last year, and five role players.

In total, the Cowboys have lost 7,706 snaps between the players who played for them last season.

They have added 847 snaps.

Now I'm not a mathematician, but to me, that seems like an awful lot of snaps to willingly lose and not replace.

What is their plan?

Is it the same plan of bargain bin shopping and building through the draft?

One look at the Philadelphia Eagles' offseason will tell you who is gearing up for a playoff run.

As it stands right now, the Eagles are sitting with the best chance of keeping the ludicrous streak of non-consecutive NFC East winners alive.
